Bay Area group The Federation recently inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records.
Working with producer Rick Rock (Jay-Z, Fabolous), The Federation's "Hyphy," which features E-40, helped spark the Bay Area movement of the same name. The song was released via Virgin Records in 2004.
The group also released Federation: The Album on Virgin the same year. In addition to Forty Water, the album featured guest appearances by the Dogg Pound's Daz Dillinger.
The trio is now readying to release its sophomore set, It's Whateva. The Federation currently has several tracks buzzing on the street, including "I Only Wear My White Tee" featuring WC and Tash of Tha Alkaholiks. Group members Stressmatic, Doonie and Goldy have also made guest appearance on E-40's My Ghetto Report Card.
The Federation's It's Whateva is slated to hit stores later this summer.
